Ideation
Ideation is the initial phase of the research and product design and development cycle, where concepts and ideas are generated. It is the process of brainstorming and identifying potential product opportunities that meet user needs, solve problems, or address gaps in the market.
The ideation phase involves conducting market research, competitive analysis, customer research, and creating a product roadmap based on the information gathered.

Deliverables of the stage:
- Users stories
- Proof of Concept
- Business and Technical Requirements
- Project scope estimation
Prototyping
Prototyping is an essential step in research and product development. It is the phase where the initial product concept is turned into a tangible form. It involves creating multiple product design iterations and experimenting with different features, functionalities, materials, and user experiences. This phase helps to identify design flaws, usability issues, and user feedback that can improve the overall product design and experience.
At this stage, the product’s founders tightly work with UI/UX designers, Software Architects, and Business Analysts.
Deliverables of the stage:
- UI/UX mockups
- A/B testing
- Customer Journey Map
- Software Architecture of the product
MVP
MVP, or Minimum Viable Product, is the phase where the product is designed with minimal features required to meet user needs. It involves creating a simple and functional version of the product that can be tested and validated with users. The MVP phase helps to validate the product concept, identify product-market fit, and determine if the product is feasible and viable for further development.
At this stage, Software Engineers work on the back-end and front-end while Business Analyst conducts the initial live testing with early-bird users.
Deliverables of the stage:
- The first users’ feedback
- Iterations of improvements
- New features Road Map
Go to market!
Go-to-Market is the final phase of research and product development, where the product is launched into the market. It involves creating a marketing plan, app/software deployment, and maintenance.
Marketing, engineering, and QA teams collaborate to promote, refine, and monitor the product during the Go-to-Market phase. Quality assurance engineers continuously monitor the app’s performance, while software engineers promptly address any minor bugs that may arise.
At this stage, the DevOps expert plays a crucial role in deploying the product (app/software) to cloud or on-premise servers and listing it on various marketplaces and app stores.
To ensure the best customer experience, Business Analyst writes the Users’ Guidelines and other relevant documentation.
Deliverables of stage:
- QA tests completed
- The server is configured, and Product Deployed
- App / Software is listed on marketplaces/app stores
- Documentation and Guidelines
